The benefits of Energy Healing

When you say someone has “good vibes,” you are really talking about that person’s vibrational energy—and happy people tend to  be operating on a higher frequency.

So how do we keep our vibration high, when there are so many outside influences that affect us daily? How do we find a balance of energy when we are affected by all the other things that are going on around us?

Energy Healing is a fairly broad term that seems to be thrown around a lot these days, but what is Energy healing?

Basically, energy healing can be any healing modality that has the ability to help shift and clear energy blocks in the body.

Some of these modalities could be – massage, bodywork, yoga, acupuncture, acupressure, or therapies such as Reiki where the hands send Universal Life Force Energy (Qi) into a person’s energy field and physical body.

At Hum Healing Hive, we feel the best thing about energy healing is, that it’s a beautiful way to work through some of our emotional trauma without talking!

It’s more about tuning into what your body is telling you….its letting you know where you may have some suppressed emotional energy and how it’s impacting your inner workings.

Sometimes we don’t even realise where we hold tension, or why?

When a person has stored trauma/ stress in their cells, their vibration is lowered. This lower vibrating energy affects mood and energy levels, and affects the overall physical functioning of the human body.

By clearing emotional blocks and stored trauma in the body, we can free up physical energy to flow through the body’s meridians – which is basically a map of our energy system throughout the body.

When we are doing bodywork, we are not just giving our clients a massage….we are also playing in the energy field, rebalancing the masculine and feminine energies…and bringing  the body, mind and spirit back into balance.

Another energy healing modality is sound therapy and frequency healing, an alternate and powerful way to re-balance the body’s vibration.

Energy healing is painless and safe….and the exchange of energy only happens when both parties are open to feeling the sensation of giving and receiving energy.

Energy healing can be done by placing hands onto an area of the body can clear blocks, and stimulate physical and emotional healing.

Energy healing also incorporates intention…’where the focus goes the energy flows’ – and an energy healing practitioner will visualise and channel the healing energy where needed and assist in releasing it from the body.

Massage and bodywork is a great way for your experienced practitioner to find where the energy blocks are, with a focus on clearing through the use of different techniques, depending on where it is in the body.

During a healing session, the breath (our life-force energy) is so important in helping shift any stagnant energy from the body. We often find that clients feel a sudden urge to take a breath and release during a bodywork session, as they can feel within their own body….a great need for the energy to shift.

It is not uncommon to feel some of the following during a healing treatment

You may feel feel heat on the area that is being touched

Tingling sensations in hands and feet

Rumbling and shifting in the stomach

Tingling on or near the area

A sensation of energy traveling through your body.

A sudden emotional change or an urge to cry

Past memories arise

A change in your body’s vibration – or a buzzing feeling

A feeling of floating or feeling ‘lighter’

If frequency healing and sound therapy techniques are used, you may feel the actual vibration of the body change, as your body re-balances to the correct frequencies for the energy to flow freely.

Afterwards you may feel deeply relaxed, emotionally lighter, happier, have more energy or feel like you just need to rest. The experience is different for everyone, and unique to the moment in time you are receiving the treatment, and what energy blockages are being focussed on.
